Great teams don’t happen by accident, they are built through everyday behaviours that create trust, connection, and shared purpose. This workshop gives Level 1 managers and employees simple, practical skills for shaping a positive team culture. Participants will learn how small actions, like how we listen, how we communicate, and how we include others, directly influence performance and experience.

Defining Key Concepts

  • What is belonging, and what is a good model to understand? (Seen, Connected, Supported, Proud)
  • What is Inclusion and how do we create an inclusive environment at work? (Five Inclusion Metrics)

Build Belonging Through Inclusive, Everyday Behaviours

  • Belonging grows through consistent small actions. In this module, participants explore how inclusive habits like balanced airtime, checking in with teammates, being curious, and acknowledging contributions strengthen team connection and reduce friction.

The Business Case

  • Research from Google’s Project Aristotle will be explored to demonstrate the benefits of creating a culture of belonging, inclusion and psychological safety.

Everyday Inclusion & Belonging

  • Participants will apply inclusive behaviours to increase belonging in everyday work.
