Each year, Diversio recognizes organizations that have designed and implemented workplace initiatives demonstrating measurable outcomes and scalable potential. To qualify, programs must show proven internal impact, either through employee experience, performance metrics, or cultural indicators and offer frameworks that other organizations can adopt to drive meaningful change.
The 2024 Workplace Impact Awardees are (in alphabetical order) Fable Tech Labs, Financial Plus Credit Union, Hyundai Canada, Mitacs and WCB Alberta.
Each of these organizations will be featured in a Workplace Impact Spotlight Series on Diversio’s platforms. The series will highlight their initiatives, showcase key outcomes, and share practical takeaways to inspire innovation across industries. These initiatives will also be recognized at the upcoming 2025 Changemakers Summit (date to be announced), where select awardees will take the stage to share deeper insights with the global community.

Fable redesigned its hiring process to be accessibility-first at every stage. With bias training, vetted tools, and inclusive onboarding, the company saw a near-100% offer acceptance rate and increased retention from 65% to 85%. Today, 73% of employees identify as having a disability.
FPCU launched a community-based initiative offering free billboard advertising and promotional packages to minority-owned businesses. The program supported five small businesses, deepened community partnerships, and strengthened visibility and inclusion across the region.
Hyundai introduced Bloom to provide accessible, confidential mental health counseling to employees during work hours. The program offers in-person sessions through a private therapy lounge, as well as virtual options. After a 97% booking rate in its pilot phase, the program was extended and improved based on employee feedback.
Mitacs embedded EDI into its internal operations through policy reform, executive coaching, flexible work models, and employee engagement programming. Its inclusion score rose to 72.3 in 2023, exceeding the national benchmark and reinforcing Mitacs’ role as a leader in equity-centered innovation.
WCB-Alberta’s grassroots campaign supports Indigenous communities through the sale of “Every Child Matters” buttons sourced from Indigenous artists. Funds raised are donated to local organizations, while internal learning and conversation opportunities help foster a more inclusive workplace culture.
