Take all five courses and receive a 20% discount along with your official DEI Professional Certification to hang on your wall or add to your LinkedIn profile.

Course 1: Introduction to Unconscious Bias

In the Introduction to Unconscious Bias course, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of what unconscious bias is, how it affects the day-to-day lives of individuals in your workplace, engage in activities that prompt reflection on personal biases and their source, and complete activities to promote continuous personal improvement to mitigate the negative impact of unconscious bias.

Topics Covered Include:
  • The different types of unconscious bias
  • The negative unintended consequences of unconscious bias in the workplace
  • Effective strategies to manage their unconscious bias and mitigate its effects

Course 2: Allyship in the Workplace

In the Allyship in the Workplace course, you will gain an understanding of how our perspective and day-to-day actions impact the culture of inclusion in the workplace. You’ll learn skills that can be applied daily in order to become an ally to underrepresented colleagues.

Topics Covered Include:
  • The benefits of increased DEI in the workplace
  • The status quo by learning about the experiences of marginalized folks in the workplace
  • Our role and responsibility in fostering a workplace culture of inclusion
  • Recognizing and acknowledging diverse perspectives and experiences in the workplace
  • The skills to implement allyship principles and interventions

Course 3: Employee DEI Data Collection

The Employee DEI Data Collection training provides guidance on collecting DEI data to level-up your DEI strategy and initiatives. It also equips you with the skills required to collect data at an organizational level. You’ll learn best practices for each step of the process; from survey design, to communicating the initiative, to analyzing data, as well as Diversio’s methodology to ensure the data is collected in a way that prioritizes employee safety and is actionable for the organization.

Topics Covered Include:

  • Uses & applications of DEI data
  • The primary DEI metrics & sub-metrics
  • The importance of methodology & confidentiality for gathering meaningful DEI data
  • Tools to effectively design & implement a DEI survey
  • Where your organization can gather and utilize data to increase DEI

Course 4: Inclusive Recruiting & Hiring

The Inclusive Recruiting and Hiring course takes a deep dive on how concepts discussed in our other courses such as unconscious bias, allyship, and DEI apply to the recruiting and hiring process. You will take away tangible skills on inclusive resume screening, interviews, and interview panels. This allows you to build a more diverse workforce that’s inclusive from the beginning of the hiring journey.

Importantly, this course does not discuss other DEI concepts in detail, which are foundational to an inclusive recruiting and hiring process. We recommend participants have a pre-existing understanding of the DEI concepts mentioned, or start with our other courses that focus on these topics independently.

Topics Covered Include:

  • Hiring practices that inhibit inclusion in the stages of sourcing, screening, and shortlisting
  • Methods to attract and incentivize future employees from a range of diverse backgrounds
  • Cultural and financial advantage that companies with inclusive hiring practices have over competitors

Course 5: Workplace Flexibility

In the Workplace Flexibility course, you will learn how flexible policies and practices can provide an accessible and equitable workplace, where all employees have the opportunity to achieve the same level of success, as well as the other benefits to company culture. This course will provide a Toolkit and actionable steps to build a flexible workplace culture.

Topics Covered Include:

  • The benefits of workplace flexibility in increasing accessibility and inclusion for employees
  • Strategies and policies that can be introduced to increase workplace flexibility
  • Flexible solutions specifically for employees with mental health and caregiving constraints
“I liked how involving it was even though it is an online module. This also allowed me to be more flexible with when I was able to complete the course and when it fit to my schedule.”
- Julia B.

Course Format

Each course will be conducted entirely via a virtual learning platform. Assistance is available via email, with experts available to answer and course-related learning questions. In order to fully complete all course offerings, we recommend that learners have access to a functioning laptop or PC with stable internet connection and working speakers.

At the end of each course, the learner will be expected to complete a non-timed multiple choice assessment on major topics within the module. Learners will be encouraged to retake the assessment until they achieve a passing score.

Academic Integrity

In order to preserve the integrity of the course, we ask that all learners refrain from plagiarism in completion of any activities, and that they do not directly discuss solutions to the multiple choice assessment with other learners currently undertaking the course. All of the work submitted should be completed by the learner, and we also ask that course materials are not shared with others not completing the course unless otherwise specified.

Accessibility Needs

Learners with diverse needs are very much welcome in this course, and we are happy to accommodate wherever needed. Please feel free to contact us at training@diversio.com should you require any assistance with the course (i.e. grayscale-adapted versions of course content, clarification on transcripts for voiceovers).
