Understanding disability & its impact

  • Better understand disability, including its prevalence in Canada and its multifaceted impact on the workplace, fostering empathy and awareness.
  • Explore the social versus medical approach to disability, recognizing the importance of societal attitudes and structures in shaping the experiences of individuals with disabilities.
  • Identify and understand the various types of disability in Canada, including neurodiversity and episodic disabilities, to recognize the diverse experiences and needs of individuals with disabilities.

Implementation of inclusion strategies

  • Implement practical strategies and principles to improve the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the workplace, promoting accessibility and equal opportunities for all employees.
