In this course, we will explore the lived realities of women, dissect biases within business environments, identify systemic barriers, and propose both systemic and individual solutions to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace for all.

Discrimination, harassment, & bias

  • Gain insights into the diverse experiences and challenges that women face in the workplace.
    Through case studies, personal stories, and interactive discussions, we will learn to empathize
    with the lived realities of women from various backgrounds and explore the intersectionality of
    gender with other dimensions of diversity.

Bias in business & systemic barriers

  • Uncover different types of biases that women encounter, ranging from unconscious bias to stereotype
    threat. Through real-world examples and activities, we will develop the skills to recognize and address
    bias in ourselves and others.
  • Delve into the structural and cultural aspects of organizations that may hinder women's progress.
  • We will explore topics such as the gender pay gap, lack of representation in leadership roles, and workplace policies that inadvertently disadvantage women.

Explore solutions, systemic and individual

  • Explore strategies that organizations can implement to promote gender equity, such as inclusive hiring practices, mentorship programs, and gender-sensitive policies. We will also discuss the role
    of leadership in championing diversity and inclusion.
  • Discuss the importance of allyship networks, employee resource groups, and
    initiatives to celebrate diversity.
