This focused training will explore an introduction to workplace safety, focusing on the forms, impact and pervention of harrasment and discrimination. Course participants will gain insights into the nature of workplace harassment, and key strategies, interventions and policies in workplace safety. Attendees will learn about the victim-centered approach, reporting harassment, and the resolution process.

Discrimination, harassment, & bias

  • Develop an understanding on the meaning of a safe work environment and key factors that contribute towards employee wellbeing.
  • Examine the different forms of conscious and unconscious bias, understand the impact of discrimination, and learn about various forms of harassment.

Retaliation

  • Explore steps that can be utilized to avoid retaliation and learn about the protected activities
    that employees may utilize.
  • Learn ways to deal with questions and concerns involving discrimination or harassment efficiently.

Reporting, investigation, & resolution

  • Explore personal, team, and company-level intervention activities for mitigating harassment
    in the workplace. 
  • Discover an overview of the reporting and resolution process and learn practical steps to utilize.

Victim-centered solutions

  • Explore the impacts of workplace safety on individuals and society and delve into the
    significance of workplace safety.
  • Develop an understanding of the trauma centered approach and steps employees can take after experiencing trauma.
